Juventus Take Note of Real Madrid Midfield Warrior

According to reports from Spain, Juventus are eyeing a deal for Real Madrid’s main stay holding midfielder Casemiro, as the former Sao Paulo man is apparently nearing his end in the Spanish capital.

The formidable 29-year-old defensive midfielder has spearheaded Real Madrid’s holy-trinity for the past good six-seven years alongside Luka Modric and Toni Kroos – with one of them looking to be replaced in one of the upcoming transfer windows.

Casemiro is touted to be Juventus’ target as Los Blancos look to move in for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, according to Spanish outlet Don Balon (via TuttoJuve).

Kante is not expected to renew his Chelsea contract, which expires in June 2023, and Real Madrid have long been linked to a move for him. And amid such speculation Casemiro could potentially lose his long-term place in the trifecta.

The Bianconeri are on the lookout for a stronghold in midfield who can play alongside the talented Manuel Locatelli. With a price tag of €70m, according to transfermarkt, the almost-30 Brazilian midfielder will not come cheap.
