Juventus to Discuss Adding Striker, Arsenal Stars Linked

Juventus have stated that they would stand pat and not sign a new striker in January. However, the Bianconeri seem ready to pounce should the right opportunity present itself. The management and Massimiliano Allegri will soon have a summit to go over the potential targets, Tuttosport reports.

The Old Lady has been linked to Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial, but they do not appear to be feasible options. El Matador would likely join Barcelona should Manchester United let him go. But it is not sure that will indeed happen, The Mirror informs. Anthony Martial voiced his desire to leave to play more. However, the Red Devils will not sell him for cheap. His value is around €30M, which is too pricey for the Bianconeri.

Given the state of their finances, Juventus prefer adding a striker on loan with option to buy. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette could be easier to get from Arsenal with such formula than the Manchester United forwards, the Italian newspaper relays. A swap of loans with PSG involving Mauro Icardi and Arthur is also a possibility, Carlo Laudisa reports. The preference of the coach is to go in this last direction.

While they mull over making an addition, Juventus will have to wait to lock up their top striker. Paulo Dybala’s agent Jorge Antun was in Turin recently, but he flew back to Argentina. The signature on the extension continues to be delayed. However, there continues to be major optimism it is just a matter of time.
