Juventus to Finance their Market by Selling Two Midfielders to EPL clubs

Similar and yet different. This is how Calciomercato describes the situations of Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot at Juventus.

Both stars arrived during the summer of 2019 as free agents from Arsenal and Paris Saint Germain respectively.

During the first season at the club, they would often find themselves in and out of Maurizio Sarri’s starting lineups.

Although they have been handed more opportunities this term under the guidance of Andrea Pirlo, the results haven’t always been satisfying.

Therefore, the Old Lady are looking to bolster their midfield for next season with some fresh names (like Manuel Locatelli) and perhaps some old familiar faces (mainly Paul Pogba).

But before doing so, Fabio Paratici and company need to work on the departures in order to finance the summer transfer market.

Thus, selling Ramsey and Rabiot could prove to be the key in this regard.

The two central midfielders are among the club’s highest earners, with 7 million euros per season as net wages for each of them.

These figures will be hard to match for their potential suitors, unless of course the turn out to be rich Premier League clubs.

According to the report, the Welshman still has some followers in England, including Crystal palace, but above all West Ham United.

The Hammers are currently in the running for a European spot next season, which would render the Londoners a more tempting destination for the 30-year-old.

On the other hand, Rabiot is still considered as a precious asset for the Bianconeri, and his return to the starting lineup with the French national team should boost his market price.

Nonetheless, if the right offer comes for the former PSG man, Juventus will consider it as a golden opportunity to rebuild their midfield by reinvesting the funds received from the sale.

The source names Manchester City as well as Barcelona as potential destinations for the 25-yer-old.
