Juventus to Get Offers from England for Two Starlets

Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli had a quick trip to England midweek to gauge the interest in a pair of their talents, Matias Soulé and Samuel Iling-Junior. Newcastle United and Crystal Palace are keen on the Argentine. The talks didn’t get past initial inquiries, but the Bianconeri would cash in a sizeable sum if they decided to sell him, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

The winger is under contract till 2026 and would want reassurances to commit long-term. Instead, cashing in on him would fetch €20/25M, which would boost their struggling finances. But it’d be a sacrifice from the technical standpoint.

Juventus could receive bids for Soulé in January already. If they caved, Frosinone probably wouldn’t stand in their way, even though they’d obviously prefer to have him until the end of the season. He’s been their star and has scored six goals already.

Iling-Junior has 18 months on his deal and has logged just 113 through 4 appearances so far. He’s not as pricey, but he could be worth €15/20M. The haul from partying ways with the two prodigies would allow the Old Lady to acquire a top-shelf midfielder.

Our Take on Juventus, Soulé, and Iling-Junior

While tempting to address their short-term needs, the former is a gem and should be retained and given a decent role next season, especially should they change coach or tactics. Instead, the Englishman should be given the chance to prove his worth with a regular role in a minnow before making the call.
