Juventus Making Serious Push to Sign Vlahovic in January

Juventus will attempt to solve their scoring woes by acquiring one of the brightest Serie A strikers in the next window. The Bianconeri are plotting a sizeable offer for Dusan Vlahovic. The bid does not match the Viola’s price tag yet, but it is the first real one for January.

According to Carlo Laudisa of La Gazetta dello Sport, Juventus are proposing €50M, while the counterpart wants €70M. The Old Lady are in touch with the representatives with the center-forward, who have not committed to any team. Fiorentina had long suspected that the Bianconeri were behind the collapse of the extension talks.

Juventus are ready to make a financial effort because the competition might be too stiff next summer. PSG, Atletico Madrid, Tottenham, and Manchester are all eyeing Vlahovic. The top sides see him as a viable plan B if they could not acquire Erling Haaland.

The relationship between the two Italian sides is still sour after the Federico Chiesa deal. Juventus are willing to use a more straightforward formula this time out. However, it remains to be seen if president Rocco Commisso could be open to selling another star to their archenemies.

While coach Vincenzo Italiano and his teammates defended Vlahovic, the Viola management would prefer moving on from him as soon as possible to end the saga. But that does not mean they will sell him at a discount price. Sassuolo publicly rebuffed their interest in Domenico Berardi. Gianluca Scamacca would be their preferred target to fill in for the Serbian star. They are also after Lille’s Jonathan Ikoné and Pisa’s Lorenzo Lucca.
