Juventus to Pursue Man City and Fiorentina Stars If Ronaldo Departs

Juventus will look to add a top striker if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves this summer. The latest signals go unequivocally in that direction, although he will make a decision only after the Euro. The management have shortlisted Gabriel Jesus, Mauro Icardi and Dusan Vlahovic to fill the possible huge void, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

The Bianconeri have already pursued the Brazilian forward in the past, but they never had real chances to land him. The Citizens could be open to letting him go if they acquired Harry Kane from Tottenham. Jesus has bagged 14 goals and provided four assists in 42 appearances across all competitions in 2020/2021. Juventus have reached out to the English club early to position themselves among the contenders of a likely bidding war.

If Ronaldo opted to move to PSG, a swap with Icardi could satisfy both sides financially-speaking. The Old Lady has been trying to get the Argentinian striker since his Inter days. However, they are keener on Vlahovic, and they are no strangers to poaching Fiorentina starlets, as it happened with Federico Bernardeschi and Federico Chiesa.

Viola owner Rocco Commisso is under intense pressure to extend the contract of the 21-year-old sensation, which currently expires in 2023. However, the talks with his agent have not progressed much after he broke out. New coach Gennaro Gattuso asked to retain him. Fiorentina currently considers him untouchable but unofficially put a €60M price tag on him, which has scared away Milan and Roma and the other teams previously linked to them.
