Juventus to Take a Close Look at Four RB Leipzig Stars

Juventus will hunt for their second Champions League victory against RB Leipzig on Wednesday but will also examine four players that were on their radar in the past and could become targets in the next transfer market windows, Calciomercato informs.

The Bianconeri are keeping tabs on Benjamin Sesko like many other top sides. He’d be on the shortlist of replacements if the negotiation with Dusan Vlahovic didn’t go well and they couldn’t manage to sign Jonathan David.

Juventus are eyeing two more RB Leipzig linchpins, Xavi Simons and Antonio Nusa. The former returned on loan from PSG and keeps growing. The Ligue 1 champions will have to make a definitive call about him at some point. Instead, the winger was a fallback while the Old Lady was chasing Nico Gonzalez and Francisco Conceiçao.

Castello Lukeba is a possible option to substitute for Danilo. Cristiano Giuntoli eyed him two years ago, but the German side won the race thanks to a €30M offer. He’s left-footed and would allow Gleison Bremer to play on the right-hand side of the defense. He has accumulated 47 matches since joining and debuted with France in October 2023.

The Bianconeri assembled an almost complete roster in the previous window and probably won’t make moves in January. Nusa would fit their needs the best, but they just extended the contract of Samuel Mbangula and will give him a chance first. Sesko would obviously be a great Vlahovic heir, but he’s likely headed to the Premier League due to his massive price tag.
