Juventus Trying to Offload Midfielders to Sign Ajax Starlet

Juventus are looking to part ways with multiple midfielders to make room for a younger and better contributor in the role. Ajax’s Ryan Gravenberch is atop their shortlist in that regard. Their tight relationship with Mino Raiola could help them out, Alfredo Pedullà reports.

The Bianconeri recently met with the agent to inquire about the availability of the 19-year-old. The Dutch club wants to hold onto him, especially because of their Champions League success. However, he is under contract only until 2023. Postponing the sale to next June would make his price tag plummet.

Juventus have been informed that it would take €25/30M to acquire the youngster. The Old Lady is plotting an attempt in January already. They fear that the competition, in particular from Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester United, would be too tough to overcome if they waited till the summer.

On the other hand, Juventus need to sell multiple midfielders to bankroll their pursuit. Manuel Locatelli is the only untouchable player in the position. All the others could depart for the right offer. The Bianconeri are particularly eager to move on from Aaron Ramsey and Arthur, who earn €12M combined.

Juventus have instructed agent Federico Pastorello to find a new home for the Brazilian. Arsenal, PSG, and Sevilla have shown some mild interest in signing him, Calciomercato.com informs. Lazio could be in the running as well since Maurizio Sarri previously hand-picked him. However, it is challenging to find the proper formula for the transfer, considering the way how he originally joined.
