A change of scenery could be in the cards for the talented Dutchman, but Juventus are not the frontrunners to sign him.
The Bianconeri could indeed shore up the midfield in January though, especially if Aaron Ramsey left as rumored. But they will have scarce resources to do it. They are no longer considering cashing in on Weston McKennie. The American has become an integral part of the squad in recent games.
On top of Axel Witsel, who figures to be the cheapest target, Juventus are also pursuing Denis Zakaria. The Borussia Moenchengladbach specialist has only a few months left on his contract.
