Juventus Wantaway Eyeing Premier League, Arsenal Reunion Unlikely

Aaron Ramsey fully took advantage of the Euro after a rough season with Juventus. The Bianconeri are looking to offload his salary, and he could leave in short order. He wants to return to the Premier League, but Arsenal have not taken any step to bring him back, Goal.com reported.

Juventus are set to meet his agents to discuss his departure soon. West Ham and Crystal Palace have long been after him but without placing official bids. His €7M salary is too high also by the Gunners. The Old Lady would like to get €15M from his sale but will have to settle for way less, Calciomercato.com indicates.

Ramsey has two years left on his deal with the Bianconeri after joining as a free agent in 2019. Multiple injuries slowed him down during his time in Turin, even though Maurizio Sarri and Andrea Pirlo liked his skills. He has featured in 65 matches, tallying 6 goals and 6 assists. He is unlikely to have the opportunity to play under Massimiliano Allegri. However, Juventus might have to facilitate his exit through a severance package.

The Welshman admitted his struggles in Italy in a recent presser: “The last two years have been difficult and frustrating, not only physically. There have been some factors and some changes I was not used to. I am happier with the national team; a group follows me and understands my needs. Clubs instead continue to operate in a certain way even if a player requires more attention.”
