Juventus Winger Reluctant to Move to Turkey Amid Besiktas Links

Juventus castaway Federico Chiesa has attracted interest from numerous European clubs, including Turkish powerhouse Besiktas. However, the player’s agent, Fali Ramadani, is adamant the Italy international will not move to the Super Lig under any circumstances.

Shortly after Besiktas vice-president Huseyin Yucel revealed the club’s interest in the quicksilver forward, Chiesa’s entourage dismissed speculation linking the unsettled Juventus star with a switch to Istanbul

I don’t know the person in question, and I have never dealt with Besiktas for Federico Chiesa,” Ramadani said, as reported by Gianluca DI Marzio.

Juventus manager Thiago Motta omitted the 26-year-old from his squad for Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Atletico Madrid. It confirmed the coach’s decision to offload Chiesa by the end of the summer. The feeling is mutual, with the player seeking a new landing spot.

Chiesa’s significant €9m wage demands on top of the €15m transfer fee required by Juventus have blown Besiktas out of the water. While the asking price isn’t excessive for a player of Chiesa’s quality, the winger’s massive salary request could block his summer exit.

However, Juventus cannot afford to let Chiesa stay at the Allianz Stadium next season. His contract runs out in less than 12 months. And if he leaves on a free transfer next summer, the record-time Serie A champions would register a substantial capital loss.

The options are dwindling. After Roma withdrew from the race, Inter have emerged as the likeliest destination for Chiesa. But Juventus would only reluctantly let the ex-Fiorentina ace join their bitter rivals.
