Juventus Youngster Draw Inquiry from Newcomers Frosinone

Juventus youngster Kaio Jorge looks set to continue his career outside the Allianz Stadium, at least temporarily. During an interview with Tuttosport, Frosinone sporting director Guido Angelozzi acknowledged the Serie A newcomers’ interest in the 21-year-old forward.

Jorge has only recently returned to action following a lengthy 18-month spell on the sidelines. After overcoming a severe knee injury, the Brazilian needs regular game time to make up for lost time and get his stuttering career back on track. But first-team opportunities could prove difficult to come by at Juventus.

While Juventus have no interest in offloading the former Santos forward permanently, they could be inclined to let him leave on loan to regain confidence. Frosinone may come to their aid, with Angelozzi confirming the capital minnows’ admiration for Jorge.

Kaio Jorge is a player we’re interested in. We like him,” he told Tuttosport.

However, Angelozzi is aware the prodigious striker has a bright future and that Juventus may hesitate to cut him loose.

Let’s see if we can bring him to Frosinone. It’s not easy because he’s an important player, but we’re confident because we’re a young team, with a great coach and a promising project.”

Frosinone’s first Serie A campaign after a four-year absence was off to a dismal start. Despite taking an early lead, they succumbed to a 3-1 home loss to reigning champions Napoli on Saturday. Meanwhile, Juventus will get their top-flight season underway on Sunday night as they head to the Dacia Arena to tackle Udinese.
