Kenan Yildiz is starting to get his feet wet in Serie A as Juventus just formally promoted to the first team. He explained how his move to the Peninsula came to be in an interview with Bild (via La Gazzetta dello Sport).
“They presented the best sporting project, and the Bayern Munich execs moved too late with my entourage, even though they wanted to keep me. I’ve always believed in my chances of breaking through in Turin. I’ve started with the U-19 side to get used to the country, the playing style, and the language. Then, I starred in some games with the Next Gen squad.”
Yildiz indicated the turning point in his Juventus stay.
“They allowed me to join the trip to the United States last summer. It was incredible, as I started practicing along with Federico Chiesa and Dusan Vlahovic, whom I could only watch on TV beforehand.”
Massimiliano Allegri recently stated that the youngster has a brilliant future ahead of him.
“Hearing those words was an honor. They made me realize that I’m on the right path to achieving my goals. I have an excellent relationship with him. He’s a great coach and person.”
Yildiz indicated his idols
“Debuting was a dream come true and an explosion of emotions. It’s special to be in the same clubs as my models Roberto Baggio, Zinedine Zidane, and Alessandro Del Piero.”
