Per Sky, the Foxes demanded €15M in the early talks. The Old Lady will try to get a discount considering the counterparty’s relegation. They would prefer an initial loan with an obligation to buy in a year to dilute the payment. However, if the fee was lower, they could sign him outright.
Castagne would make his Serie A return if Juventus finalized the deal. He has collected nearly 100 appearances in the Italian league in three seasons at Atalanta, scoring 8 goals and providing 10 assists. He transferred to England for €21M in 2022. The 27-year-old has played consistently and starred in 112 matches with Leicester City, hitting the net 5 times and dishing 8 helpers. He has 22 caps with Belgium.

He would be a solid contributor given his experience, versatility, and good enough offensive prowess. On the other hand, the Old Lady can probably find somebody of a similar caliber or younger for the same amount of money. Unless they get a truly advantageous formula, his anointment as Juan Cuadrado’s heir might be premature.
