Juve’s Giuntoli Eyes Spain U21 Talent Targeted by Napoli

Cristiano Giuntoli will open Juventus’ proceedings in the transfer market in a bid to fend off advances from former club Napoli for a mutual target. Real Betis playmaker Rodri Sanchez is a player stuck in a tussle between Juventus and Napoli ahead of a potential summer move.

As per Calciomercato, Giuntoli has already began challenging ex-boss Aurelio De Laurentiis to secure Sanchez from the Seville outfit. The U21 Spain international is reportedly eyed by the Partenopei as a direct successor to Hirving Lozano, and his attacking abilities are highly appreciated by Rudi Garcia as well.

Napoli scouts have advanced previously weeks for Sanchez, having worked under the directions of Giuntoli. However, with the sporting director at the helm of Bianconeri operations now, things are expected to turn difficult for the Scudetto winners.

Whatever their present stance, both teams will have to maneuver and negotiate a high asking price – a €40M release clause set by Betis for the 23-year-old talent. Sanchez is currently take the UEFA U21 European Championship by storm, having helped Spain U21 reach the semi-finals.
