It’s an unfortunate turn of events, and it won’t be easy to find a team willing to wait, unless they sign him permanently or on a longer loan. He’d have to redo his contract for that. It’ll be equally tough to get him re-engaged, so the Old Lady will be busy trying to offload him. They were finally getting serious about bringing in a new piece, which won’t happen if he stays put.
