Khvicha Kvaratskhelia talked about his superb impact on Serie A and Napoli’s excellent start to the season to DAZN.
“I work on myself a lot. I often try to learn new plays and solutions to become more unpredictable. They can study me, but it’d be pointless because the material would be old. All the nicknames they gave me are fine. Being associated with Diego Armando Maradona is an honor and fills me with pride an emotion, so Kvaradona is surely my favorite.”
“I’ve always done my best to play at a high level. Football is my life, and it’s more satisfying if things go well. I give my whole to the team, then fans can evaluate the rest. I thank them for their support.”
Kvaratskhelia headed home for the holidays.
“Everybody loves this sport in Georgia, and they hold players in high regard. It’s easy to be welcomed warmly. Many have started to watch Napoli since joined them. The negotiation lasted two years. I didn’t consider other teams when I heard they were interested. I was very happy and looking forward to don their colors.”
“It’s hard to compare Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but I appreciate the former a lot. It’s tough to measure up with an opponent of that caliber for such a long time. He was my second childhood idol and my inspiration. Instead, my first one was Guti. I used to watch him all the time, and I liked his style.”
Kvaratskhelia has a clear goal in mind.
“There’s a long way to go and many games left, but each one will be key and we’ll do everything to achieve our objective. I believe in the Scudetto, and time will tell.”
