Kvaratskhelia Senior Backs Napoli Stance on Contract

Badri Kvaratskhelia, the father of Napoli star Khvicha, addressed the recent controversy about his son, as the team strongly shot down the rumors about supposed extension talks. He spoke with CalcioNapoli24 (via Fantacalcio).

“I want to reaffirm that my family has no problem with his wages. I’m over the moon for the Scudetto and for this opportunity to greet the Azzurri fan. We’re thrilled for the title and for the fact that he’s playing in this club.”

Kvaratskhelia senior complimented the team and the city.

“I want to thank the Napoli management that gave my son the chance to star in Serie A. I’m happy Khvicha contributed greatly to their project. My family is delighted to live in Naples surrounded by the warmth of their people. I wish to thank all the citizens because they make us feel as if we were in Tbilisi.”

“Khvicha has no issue with his salary. We never discussed such a topic because football comes before money. We hope to win again this season. He doesn’t want to switch sides and will give his 100 for Napoli. My son worked hard and deserves to be in the 30 finalists for the Ballon d’Or. The credit for this achievement also goes to his teammates and the outfit.”

The father Kvaratskhelia isn’t concerned by a relatively slow start.

“Rudi Garcia has just arrived, so we need to wait to judge his work.”
