After snubbing arguably his greatest chance to move to Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe has been in the news for all mixed reasons. The French World Cup Winner extended his stay at Paris Saint-Germain until 2025, after almost leaving them on a free transfer.
After the conclusion of the transfer saga, Mbappe has now come out with another confounding declaration, citing that he was a Rossoneri when he was a kid.
“My connection with AC Milan is special,” Mbappe told La Gazzetta dello Sport. (via MARCA)
He continued: “As a child I had an Italian nanny and spent a lot of time with her family, who were all Milan fans. So, thanks to them, I also cheered for the Rossoneri and watched a lot of their games.
The highly-rated youngster also mentioned the fact that if he would ever make a move to Italy, it would be Milan.
“I always said: if I play in Italy, it will be only at Milan. On the other hand, if I had said the opposite, they would have killed me.
The Frenchman then congratulated the Italian champions for winning their first Scudetto title in over a decade
“Seriously, I can only congratulate them on the Scudetto won by Milan, where I have many French friends and Ibrahimovic, a legend that I respect a lot,” he said.
