Lazio Ace Romagnoli Revels in Demolition of Ex-Club Milan

Lazio center-back Alessio Romagnoli has spoken out following a classic display against reigning Scudetto champions Milan at the Stadio Olimpico. The Biancocelesti dismantled the Rossoneri 4-0, and the former Milan captain believes his side deservedly won the encounter.

Speaking to DAZN (via LazioNews24) after the match, Romagnoli expressed his satisfaction at the way Lazio played.

“It’s exciting to play against Milan, it’s the first time in many years. I was very excited. I think we played a wonderful game today, we were good from all points of view and we deservedly won.”

With the win, Lazio close in on third place, just one point behind Milan. Romagnoli echoed Lazio’s goals going forward.

“I wouldn’t have come here if otherwise. If I’m here, it’s because there is a huge project, a serious company and a fantastic audience I feel close to.”

Romagnoli played an integral role in Milan’s run to the Scudetto last season, captaining the side with great grit despite being shoveled into the transfer market mix. The Roma youth product has played a significant role this season for Lazio, appearing 23 times under Maurizio Sarri so far.
