Lazio and Fiorentina Seek to Lure Dominguez Away from Bologna

Lazio and Fiorentina are targeting Bologna midfielder Nicolas Dominguez for a transfer, as the Argentine international closes in on a contract extension with Bologna. The Rossoblu want to tie the holding midfielder to a one or two-year renewal deal that would see his contract expire only after the summer of 2024.

However, the Rossoblu and Dominguez have not yet shaken hands over the proposed deal. €1.5M in bonuses have also been added as part of the deal, but there is still no agreement between the two parties regarding the proposal.

Bologna coach Thiago Motta is an admirer of the 24-year-old’s abilities in the middle of the park and does not want to see him part ways. However, midfield needs could prompt the Biancocelesti and the Viola to make a heightened offer, perhaps in the range of €15-20M, to seal the deal.

Negotiations have not yet taken place, and both teams are in the race against time to act upon the transfer deal for Dominguez before Bologna successfully conclude the contract extension offer.
