Lazio and Verona Owners Hold Summit to Talk Business

Lazio and Verona presidents Claudio Lotito and Maurizio Setti recently met to discuss potential transfer market deals. The Biancocelesti are very keen on Nicolò Casale and moved early. The two chairmans also touched on Giovanni Simeone, Tuttomercatoweb informs.

Maurizio Sarri wishes to have a reliable backup for Ciro Immobile next season. The Serie A leading scorer has missed more matches than usual in 2021-2022. However, El Cholito might be too expensive for such role. Verona will buy him out from Cagliari for €12M, and Lazio would have to offer more than that. The gaffer appreciates Andrea Pinamonti. However, he will likely depart Inter for a decent buck too.

Rather than signing Simeone, the Biancocelesti have better chances to fill the need with Francesco Caputo. They already eyed him in the past and could seal the deal for just €1.5M, Il Messaggero informs. Instead, the Lazio manager turned down a different option from Verona, Kevin Lasagna.
