Lazio Casting Wide Net to Find New Left-Back, Including Man City Player

Lazio are looking to add at least one left-back in the January window and are pursuing multiple targets, such as Manchester City’s Oleksandar Zinchenko, Lille’s Domagoj Bradaric and Cuckaricki’s Dimitrije Kamenovic, Gazzetta dello Sport reported.

Zinchenko is the most intriguing option, but also the most expensive one as acquiring him would cost around €20M between the fee for the initial loan the option to buy. The 24-year-old Ukrainian international has featured in just seven matches so far, for a total of 452 minutes, while he played more regularly in the previous two seasons, even though he was forced to spend time shelf twice with major injuries.

Bradaric’s price tag is around €15M: he has collected 43 appearances in all competitions over the last two years, providing five assists, and he can be fielded on either flank. Kamenovic, who is 20, could instead be more approachable since he is represented by the same agent of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Adam Marusic, Mateja Kezman. Lazio were also offered free agents Romulo and Kwadwo Asamoah.

The Biancocelesti were counting on Mohamed Fares to take care of such role this season and hoped Senad Lulic would return earlier from ankle surgery, but instead the former SPAL man has been pretty underwhelming and is currently nursing with a muscular injury, while the captain has yet to make his return on the pitch. As a result, Manuel Lazzari and Adam Marusic have had to log heavy minutes in the early portion of the season.
