Lazio Chief Dismisses Besiktas Advances for Iconic Immobile

Lazio captain Ciro Immobile has reportedly been presented with a significant offer by Besiktas despite having two more seasons left on his current contract. However, club president Claudio Lotito dismissed any links between the Biancocelesti marksman and the Turkish club.

Latest Sky Italia reports indicate that a two-year deal has been put forth by the Istanbul-based club, who are said to have made progress in securing Immobile’s attention. The salary package on offer reportedly amounts to a major jump from what the Euro 2020 winner presently bags.

Lotito, however, remained dismissive of the forward or Lazio receiving any offers.

“I say it with all honesty, neither I nor the company received any offers. Immobile is a Lazio player, has a contract with Lazio and Lazio has not received any offer from the company that wants to buy it. When it arrives, the company will evaluate it, to date we have not received any proposals”.

Immobile is contracted to Lazio until the summer of 2026 and his stance on the transfer links is unknown at the moment. Besiktas are understood to be searching for an avenue to get Immobile for a reduced fee.

Since joining Lazio In the summer of 2016, Immobile has etched himself in Serie A history books as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 207 goals in 340 matches.
