Lazio Closing in on Reunion with West Ham Outcast, Eye Multiple Deals

Lazio will soon welcome back Felipe Anderson. The player recently posted the team’s colors on Instagram to confirm the rumors. The Biancocelesti will pay a minimal fee for the winger, guaranteeing a large percentage of a future sale to West Ham, Gianluca Di Marzio reported.

Anderson previously played at Lazio between 2013 and 2018. He appeared in 177 matches, scoring 34 goals and providing 39 assists. He was sold to the Hammers for €38M. After a decent initial campaign, he quickly fell out of favor in London. He is coming off a six-month loan spell at Porto, where he featured just 7 times.

The 28-year-old will be the first piece of the puzzle for the new Lazio. Maurizio Sarri wants multiple wingers to switch from 3-5-2 to 4-3-3. However, they are unlikely to make acquisitions that will break the bank. They have extensively negotiated Julian Brandt with Borussia Dortmund, but they have yet to come to terms, Corriere dello Sport informs.

The veteran boss will soon reunite with Elseid Hysaj, who is currently without a team. The fullback will soon ink a long-term contract, Alfredo Pedullà reports. Moreover, they are searching for a physical midfielder. After targeting Ruben Loftus-Cheek, they are now eyeing Toma Basic and Boubacar Kamara. Napoli are also chasing after the Bordeaux contributor as well, instead Milan are pursuing the Olympique Marseille one.

In terms of possible sales, Joaquin Correa is on PSG and Tottenham’s radar. He remains their star most likely to leave to bankroll the transfer market. The French club offered a swap with Pablo Sarabia, and Lazio could accept if the monetary part satisfies them too, Pedullà added.
