Lazio Eye Ex-Milan Primavera Wingback to Boost Backline

With the FIFA World Cup just about a month away from kick-off, Lazio are already planning to bolster their ranks, especially in the backline. The Biancocelesti possess the best defence in the league having conceded just 5 goals so far in 10 games played so far, but despite that, they want to pounce on the next opportunity to sign a player.

According to Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), AZ Alkmaar wingback Milos Kerkez has popped up on the Biancocelesti radar, thanks to his profile that interests club president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare. In fact, if a move does materialize, the Hungary defender will return to Italy for the first time since graduating from the Milan Primavera setup.

Kerkez left the Rossoneri due to the lack of first-team playing opportunities. Lazio have kept close tabs on the left-back, who appeared 32 times with the Milan youth team. The player also has the same agent as Lazio midfield ace Luis Alberto – thus adding an important dimension to the potential transfer move.

The youngster has a transfermarkt value of €3M, but it is understood that the Dutch outfit want nothing less than €5M for his services.
