Having a reliable backup is paramount, but there’s no shortage of options. Signing somebody that makes more than Ivan Provedel would be counterintuitive, even though he’d be a surefire choice. The Biancocelesti would take a detour compared to their usual strategy if they onboarded veterans with sizeable salaries. Still, they aren’t short on cash or room in their payroll.
