Lazio Prepare ‘Lifetime Deal’ for Ace Felipe Anderson

The talk of Lazio being ready to extend Lazio’s contract in the capital is not just hearsay, as the Biancocelesti management is taking concrete steps to make it happen.

As per Il Messaggero (via Tuttomercatoweb), a rendezvous took place between Lazio and the player’s entourage in Rome on Monday, where negotiations were held for prolonging the Brazilian’s stay. Anderson will see his deal expire at the end of the current season, and his two recent assists against Napoli in the 2-1 victory have drawn the management’s attention.

A three or four-year contract is reportedly in the works from the club’s end, which would increase his wages to €3M net per season, although Claudio Lotito is expected to start negotiations from €2.5M.

“It’s not just a club, it’s part of my life. I have grown up in every sense, I got married, I will have a little girl. For me and my family it will never be just a football team.”

The 30-year-old attacker has been absolutely instrumental for Lazio since joining two seasons ago, appearing in almost every game non-stop – an impressive 101 appearances in a row, a top-five European league record.

Our Take on Lazio Tying Up Anderson

Anderson would be free to initiate conversations with other clubs from January. However, it is likely he will stay given the manner in which he ignored advances from Saudi Arabia and other interested suitors. Lazio and Maurizio Sarri know his value enough to avoid an incoming coup.
