Lazio Make Solid Progress in Chase of Juventus Loanee

Lazio have zeroed in on Luca Pellegrini as their reinforcement for the left flank. He’s owned by Juventus and currently on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt. He’s reportedly pushing to join the Biancocelesti, which are his boyhood club.

Per Alfredo Pedullà, the Bundesliga side greenlit his departure provided they are given time to replace him. They don’t want a last-minute exit. The suitors have opened talks with the Bianconeri, which don’t have him in their future plans. They are open to selling him, but the clubs have to agree on the formula.

Pellegrini would join Lazio on an initial loan, but it remains to be seen how long and whether it would comprise an obligation or just an option to buy. According to the transfer market expert, the fullback would leave Eintracht only for the Biancocelesti. His wages will increase next summer, but he’s willing to give up some money to facilitate the deal.

The capital side is also eyeing Fabiano Parisi for the role, but Empoli are drumming up a bidding war and don’t want to part ways with him in January. Mohamed Fares is on his way out to make room for an addition, and his salary is robust. Bologna and Salernitana inquired.

Our Take on Pellegrini and Lazio

The Empoli starlet would be way better, but the 23-year-old has been solid when he has had consistent playing time and avoided injuries. He probably wouldn’t be particularly expensive. One has to wonder whether he would eventually end up in the package to lure Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Turin.
