Lazio Owner Issues Warning to Milinkovic-Savic Suitors

Lazio may not set up barricades to keep Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, differently from the past, but the buyer will have to be ready to spend. President Claudio Lotito addressed the future of his ace during an event (via Sky): “He is in high demand. He does not have a price because that is arranged by somebody who is trying to sell, which is not our case.”

“I have not made him available on the transfer market. Although, I would not make a crusade against him if he received an offer that fully satisfied him from a professional standpoint, and therefore from one of the top five clubs in the world, and economically and also met the needs of the club. He would not deserve it.”

According to Alfredo Pedullà, the Lazio brass talked with Mateja Kezman, the agent of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, yesterday. Manchester United and PSG are waiting in the wings, but it will take €100M to convince the Biancocelesti to sell. Part of the bid could be in add-ons.

Lotito also dished on Maurizio Sarri: “We have always had a strong relationship, and we esteem each other. He is a great professional, and he is comfortable here because he can focus on football. If contracts are worth anything, he will stay on our bench.”

On top of Milinkovic-Savic, the Lazio chairman touched on Francesco Acerbi: “He has few more years on his deal with us. We will see what will happen down the line regarding the transfer market, expectations and requests.”
