Lazio Plan Swap Transfer Involving Juventus Stopper

Along with reinforcing their attack, Lazio are also interested in racking up the defense. The club is working hard to improve the squad ahead of next season, and a certain Juventus stopper is in the sights of the Bianconeri.

Sarri is reportedly a fan of 27-year-old Daniele Rugani from their time together at Empoli, according to La Lazio Siamo Noi.

However, Lazio are rather interested in a swap deal rather than a direct transfer, with veteran defender Francesco Acerbi having already asked to leave the club come the summer transfer window. Lazio’s encounter against Hellas Verona could be the last time Acerbi appears in the sky blue colors, having spent four seasons in the Italian capital, racking 172 appearances so far.

The situation seems to be a win-win scenario as Juventus are currently seeking an experienced player to fill in Giorgio Chiellini’s place, at least for the moment. Rugani is not in Massimiliano Allegri’s sights for next season and the Bianconeri could look to offload the Italy international.

Whereas Rugani could experience more playing time, having just appeared 17 times this season. He has 118 caps for the Bianconeri.
