Lazio president Claudio Lotito has indicated that he aims to target the transfer market once again in the winter. The longtime executive spoke to Il Messaggero (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) in an exclusive interview on the eve of the encounter against FC Midtjylland at home, about a plethora of topics, including the ability of his players to do better.

The Biancocelesti are flying high in Serie A, but have somewhat struggled in the UEFA Europa League, as they reel third in their group. Lotito thinks his club may need more reinforcements

“We will see what to do with Sarri, it is clear that the market will also depend on the competitions that we will have to face in the rest of the way.”

He then shone light on new signing Matteo Cancellieri, who he believes will achieve stardom in the near future.

“Cancellieri has to grow, he just needs time. And then have you seen what Felipe Anderson is capable of? Maurizio is convinced he is a potential phenomenon also in that role, I have always thought so too.”

Lazio sit third in the league, five points behind leaders Napoli and two behind reigning champions Milan.
