Lazio’s pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt ace Filip Kostic has not materialized into anything fruitful yet, with the West German club hesitant to let one of their star players leave after losing their prolific striker Andre Silva to RB Leipzig.
However, Argentine striker Joaquin Correa’s long awaited departure saga from the Biancocelesti remains the only hurdle for the Romans to make a move in the transfer market. Serbian winger Kostic will come in around the range of €20-25m, according to Calciomercato. However, his market value remains €35m, as per transfermarkt values.
In case Lazio are not able to boil down to a deal with Frankfurt for him, two alternatives have already been identified in Dortmund winger Julian Brandt and Sassuolo midfielder Jeremie Boga. Both players are young and fit the Biancocelesti’s books, according to reports from Corriere dello Sport (via Il Sussidiario).
Maurizio Sarri is reportedly keen on bolstering his attacking options and Lazio will have to make a move soon as the transfer window closes shut in less than a week.
