With Luis Maximiano expected to reach an agreement with Almeria soon enough, two names have reportedly been shortlisted by the Lazio management to serve as Ivan Provedel’s deputy. The Biancocelesti have adopted an active stance in recent days to onboard new faces, signing Daichi Kamada and Gustav Isaksen recently in a bid to boost Maurizio Sarri’s squad.
As per Il Messaggero (via Tuttomercatoweb), finding a keeper as an alternative to Provedel is of utmost importance to Lazio. The track has led the club to Berlin, where the capital city’s two main rivals have worthy keepers in their ranks. Union Berlin’s Frederik Ronnow and Hertha Berlin’s Oliver Christensen are the shot-stoppers in question.

While the latter is closer to joining Fiorentina permanently, it is Ronnow who could move to Lazio instead. The 31-year-old Dane has been with Union since the past two years, playing a key role in the German minnows’ rise to stardom in the top tier with decisive performances.
Lazio’s search for a goalkeeper could very well meet an end in the coming weeks as they shift their attention to bolstering their backline.
