Leao Pens Milan Contract Extension Deal Until 2028

Rafael Leao has extended his stay at Milan until the summer of 2028, Milan announced in an official statement. The saga surrounding the winger’s stay had been ongoing for a while now, and any talk of a move away from San Siro has been put to rest by the renewal deal.

Leao gave an interview to MilanTV on the day of his renewal.

“I’m very happy because it was what I wanted, I let everyone hear it: managers, teammates. The right time has come – finding the agreement to continue my story here.”

The Portuguese forward dished on the fact that Milan is now his home.

“When I arrived here, everyone welcomed me with open arms. Even in difficult moments, everyone was there for me. Here I am at home: with this confidence, I can reach the top and win great things”.

The class of 1999 has often been linked with the exit door in recent weeks and months, given the rising interest in his services. However, led by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, the Rossoneri have all but put a stop to the reports of Leao leaving, at least for now.
