Today will witness the beginning of Milan’s contract renewal talks with Rafael Leao at the Via Aldo Rossi. Despite interest from a host of clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, it seems like the attacking talent will stay put at the San Siro for years to come.
Executives Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have scheduled talks with the player and his representatives – mainly his father and Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes – today at Casa Milan.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), it will prove to be fundamental for the Rossoneri to hold on to one of their most significant players. It is reported that an extension way beyond his expiration date of 2024 is planned to be put forward, with finances the most important aspect to be figured out.
This is mostly because Leao owes €20M to his ex-club Sporting Lisbon with regard to his previous transfer. Milan could very well aid the 23-year-old in settling his pending bill.
He currently has a release clause set at €150M.
