Inter legend Christian Vieri believes Simone Inzaghi’s outfit possess lethal ability to go all the way in Serie A once more and retain their Scudetto title.
The Nerazzurri most recently dismantled a hapless Cagliari side by a 4-0 scoreline, and at the same time established a league record for the highest number of shots on target in a single match. Inter scored four goals from 15 shots on target, out of 24 attempts on goal.
Their form has propelled them back on the top of Serie A, overtaking eternal rivals Milan by a single point and four ahead of 4th placed Napoli.
Vieri, who regularly appears on Bobo TV alongside other former players such as Antonio Cassano, has highlighted Inter’s superiority across all fronts.
Speaking on the channel (via FCInterNews), the former Italian marksman commented: “Yesterday I was at the stadium for Inter-Cagliari and in the 35th minute I told my friend ‘let’s go home’. It was 1-0, with 15 shots on goal and then I went for a pizza.”
He continued: “Inter are devastating in every department, they have phenomenal players who are playing great football. Inzaghi has found a team ready to win, to add to the title won under Conte last season.”
The Nerazzurri have won 12 of their 17 matches so far, drawing four and losing just once so far. They are also the highest goalscorers in the league, having scored 43 – seven more than Atalanta.
