Leverkusen Lead Heated Bundesliga Race for Inter Wingback Gosens

Inter’s visit to Munich for their final UEFA Champions League encounter against Bayern also brought along with it the opportunity for Robin Gosen’s entourage to visit a handful of interested clubs in Germany for a potential transfer. The wingback has suffered from the lack of concrete minutes under Simone Inzaghi, playing just three full games this season – all arriving in the UCL.

According to latest reports via FCInterNews, five German top dogs are interested in signing the ex-Atalanta player, with a January move not very unlikely. Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg, Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt have solid interest in the Germany international, but it is Bayer Leverkusen who are said to be in the spotlight for a transfer ahead of their Bundesliga counterparts after failed negotiations last summer.

Leverkusen, led by Spanish legend Xabi Alonso, are in pole position having already expressed curiosity for a loan deal with an obligation to buy if everything goes according to plan.

Gladbach and Frankfurt are reported to be next in line in terms of striking a deal come January.

Gosens has appeared 16 times this season for the Nerazzurri – managing just 509 minutes of game time in total across Serie A and UCL.
