Vincenzo Italiano’s exclusion of Luka Jović from Fiorentina’s UEFA Europa Conference League playoff squad has perhaps marked the end of the Serbian’s stay. The ex-Real Madrid center-forward has fallen out of contention, especially after the signings of M’Bala Nzola and Lucas Beltran.
As per Greek outlet Sport24, the Serbian has appeared in the radar of Olympiakos Piraeus, but not before garnering interest from Milan, Roma, and boyhood club Red Star Belgrade. A couple of German and French sides have also been linked to Jović.

Agent Fali Ramadani has accelerated efforts to find the player’s next destination, which could perhaps be outside Italy and Serie A. The Rossoneri were reportedly offered Jović’s services last week, but Milan have chosen not to delve into negotiations.
Jović was one of the three big names left out by Italiano for the UECL knockout tie against Rapid Wien, alongside Sofyan Amrabat and Antonin Barak.
Our Take on Jović
It is clear that the club doesn’t count on Jović anymore. The striker, who played his first full uninterrupted season since his breakthrough 2018/19 campaign at Eintracht Frankfurt, scored 13 goals in 50 appearances, but nonetheless went about missing some big chances that ultimately cost Fiorentina two finals. While the decision to exclude him may seem harsh, it is the cutthroat business of football we are talking about.
