Lukaku Open to Milan Move, Napoli Keep Chasing Too

Romelu Lukaku would have no problem joining Milan despite his Inter past, as such a relationship ended messily, and his previous rough encounters with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who’s an executive now, Gazzetta dello Sport informs.

While Chelsea prioritize a permanent sale, preferably for €43M, the striker would be content to return to Italy for just one season. Napoli are also in the mix given his connection with Antonio Conte.

Milan and Napoli might wait until August to see whether Chelsea will eventually be willing to loan him out. They did it with Roma last season. Instead, a €25/30M offer could be enough in July.

The new Azzurri gaffer addressed the Belgian marksman during his presentation.

“He’s an excellent player like Victor Osimhen. There’s not much to say about them, but to admire them when they are on the pitch. You always wish to have them on your side rather than face them.”

According to the publication, Paulo Fonseca wouldn’t mind Tammy Abraham either. Roma offered him to the Rossoneri. The manager is not hellbent on acquiring Joshua Zirkzee.

Our Take on Milan and Lukaku

It’s not much news since he’ll basically go to whoever wants him and concurs to a deal with his team. He’d be an acceptable solution for other sides, although not at the price set by Chelsea and if he took a more manageable salary. Instead, such an acquisition would be tough to swallow for the Rossoneri faithful given his history and the big expectations about their search for a new striker.
