Romelu Lukaku would welcome a move back to Inter. However, the reunion is unlikely to happen due to several factors. Still, the striker is sending constant messages to the club to try to find a solution, TuttoSport informs.

Moreover, Lukaku makes €12.5M per year in London, €5M more than what he was earning at Inter. The Italian side has further lowered their cap on wages afterward. He would have to settle for a €6M salary. In case of a loan, the Pensioners would have to contribute heavily and pay half of it.
The Nerazzurri are indeed looking for a striker, but Gianluca Scamacca is a significantly more affordable target. Lukaku regrets leaving Inter, as he has not hit it off with Tomas Tuchel. He has logged 12 goals and 2 assists in 34 appearances so far, and he has not been a linchpin of the formation. Still, it is not outside the realm of possibilities that the upcoming takeover could lead to a coaching change.
