Maldini and Massara Accept Milan Contract Proposal

Both Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have accepted the latest renewal offers by Milan. They reached agreement with Elliott, as the team will formally be under RedBird Capital’s control only in a few months. Casa Milan was the site of negotiations between the senior executives and the board, and positive talks have led to the directors holding onto their respective positions within the Rossoneri hierarchy.

Only an official announcement by the club is missing at the moment but meanwhile, the news has arrived as a great relief for the Rossoneri faithful, who were hoping the contracts to be signed soon enough without any more delay.

Speaking to the media after a lengthy period of negotiations, Maldini himself confirmed the news while exiting Milan headquarters (via La Gazzetta dello Sport).

“We have renewed at the last minute. We are happy to be here. We are planning for a winning future. Mercato? We started a bit late but we will make up for the lost time.”

The Scudetto winners can now fully focus on boarding their main transfer targets, having already signed Divock Origi from Liverpool.
