Manchester City Waiting in Wings with Huge Offer for Dybala

Manchester City are among the teams monitoring the Paulo Dybala situation with a watchful eye. His contract with Juventus expires in June. His agent will sit down with the club to re-negotiate the extension in February.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the English club could easily outbid Inter and the other suitors. They are ready to offer €10M per year to the Argentinian striker if he really ends up leaving Turin.

Pep Guardiola heaped praise on La Joya following a clash between the Bianconeri and Bayern Munich in 2016. The striker hit the net for the first time in Champions League on that occasion. “He is a great player,” he stated after suffering a two-goal comeback. Manchester City could handpick Dybala to properly replace Sergio Aguero, with a one-year delay. Considering his style, he would be a strong fit in the Catalan coach’s free-flowing scheme.

The 28-year-old currently earns €7.3M per season. Juventus had come to terms to bump it up to €8M plus €2M add-ons. However, they recently pulled their offer to revisit it. The U-turn irritated the player, who displayed his frustration after scoring during the Udinese game.

His representative Jorge Antun received the official license to operate from the Italian Olympic Committee yesterday, Goal.com informs. It was one of the aspects that delayed the signature in previous months. Dybala has not directly opened talks with Manchester City, Inter or any other outside club yet. He is waiting for a new proposal from the Old Lady.
