After completing three acquisitions Thursday, Napoli will have to fend off the interest for two of their regulars coming from the Premier League, as Manchester United are keen on Hirving Lozano, while Everton have set sights on Eljif Elmas.
As per Sky (via SportMediaset), they have received just inquiries at this point. The Partenopei don’t plan to sell the duo. Though, nobody is untouchable if a strong bid arrives. The Red Devils have been looking for a winger. Ajax rebuffed their opening bid for Antony. They have been eyeing players from Eredivisie since hiring Erik Ten Hag. The Mexican star spent two years at PSV before transferring to Serie A.
While Lozano did seem close to leaving at times, but before the departures of Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens and the rumors about Matteo Politano, Napoli have always been protective of Elmas. Although, he hasn’t really been able to become a full-time starter.
The North Macedonian starlet joined from Fenerbahce in a €16.2M move in 2019. He has appeared in 127 matches since then, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists. While these two sales are unlikely, the Azzurri remain in talks with PSG for Fabian Ruiz. They are trying to include Keylor Navas in the package. Kepa Arrizabalaga is still in the picture as a fallback.

Everybody has a price tag, and that has proven to be particularly true for the Partenopei this summer, but partying ways with two relatively young players doesn’t fit the strategy they have leaned on thus far. If another linchpin does depart, on top of Ruiz, it will probably be Piotr Zielinski, who is a poor fit for their likely new tactical iteration.
