Manchester United Eager to Beat Milan in Race for Sassuolo Ace

Milan are still keen on bringing in Sassuolo starlet Davide Frattesi. Executives Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have both been involved heavily in recent seasons, bolstering the club’s ranks with young talent. Frattesi is one among their priorities, but the Rossoneri aren’t the only ones eager to lure the midfielder away from the Neroverdi.

Latest reports from Calciomercato.it indicate that Manchester United are strong contenders to make an effort to buy the highly-rated 23-year-old. Sassuolo have long made it clear that he’s available for nothing short of €35M, and the Red Devils are one such club who will not hesitate to shell out the required fee. It is also noted that they sent scouts to monitor the youngster during Salernitana’s visit to the Mapei Stadium few weeks ago.

However, the Rossoneri are equally interested in making a move come the next transfer window.

A host of other clubs have also eyed him, including Juventus and Inter. But it was Roma who were agonizingly close to signing their former youth product, although a move never materialized for the Giallorossi. They hold an important percentage of the future resale, which could play an important part in activating a potential discount in negotiations with Sassuolo.
