Manchester United Rejected McKennie After Rabiot Fiasco

Having bounced on the opportunity to sign Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot after failing to agree to personal terms, Manchester United reportedly also gave up the chance to sign his fellow teammate Weston McKennie. As per the Telegraph (via Tuttomercatoweb), the Red Devils declined the opportunity to sign the American international after Juventus offered him to them.

Instead, the Premier League outfit have turned their attention towards decorated Real Madrid defensive midfielder Casemiro. A proposal worth €60M has been lodged by the Manchester natives.

The Bianconeri had accepted a fee worth €20M to sell Rabiot, but United and the player’s agent failed to agree personal terms regarding his €10M net per season wage demands. Immediately after, McKennie was chosen to be offloaded, but the Red Devils were least interested. He has been targeted in the past by Premier League sides West Ham, Aston Villa and Tottenham.

Juventus are obliged to sell atleast one midfielder in order to bring in Paris Saint-Germain center-half Leandro Paredes. The Argentine has been eyed by the Bianconeri for quite a while now.
