Manchester United Rekindle Interest in Roma Talisman

Manchester United could re-launch their interest in Roma ace Paulo Dybala after Erik ten Hag placed him high on his shortlist. According to Il Messaggero via TMW, the Argentine’s affordable €12m release clause has enticed the Dutchman to instruct the Red Devils powerbrokers to reignite their interest in the former Juventus forward.

Dybala’s clause means any foreign club could price him out of Roma in the first two weeks of July for a bargain fee. The 30-year-old’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico runs out next summer. He turned down a lucrative approach from Al-Nassr a fortnight ago to pledge his future to Roma. But, the parties have yet to meet to discuss a potential renewal.

While Dybala is open to reaffirming his allegiance to Roma, he’d hardly stay immune to Manchester United’s call. The Premier League heavyweights harbored interest in the left-footed wizard in 2022 when he left Juventus as a free agent. However, the Giallorossi won the race that summer.

It has proved among the club’s best moves in the past decade. Despite several injury setbacks, Dybala has been of utmost importance to Roma. He helped the capital-based side reach the Europa League final in his first season in Rome, though Sevilla denied them back-to-back continental titles with a penalty shootout win in the grand final.

Last season, Dybala netted 16 goals in 39 competitive matches. His exploits have caught Ten Hag’s attention, as the former Ajax manager insists on his arrival amid Manchester United’s effort to overhaul their faltering squad.
