Inter stopper Stefan De Vrij is fast nearing his contract expiration date, in the summer of 2023, and will soon be able to talk pre-contract terms with interested clubs. The Nerazzurri have so far failed to boil down to terms with the Dutchman’s entourage, making a move away from the Meazza very likely for him.
As per reports emerging from French outlet Maxifoot, Ligue 1 heavyweights Olympique de Marseille are anticipating a free arrival of the highly-rated center-back. Marseille are in search of a top class defender following a disappointing exit from the UEFA Champions League, as they look to fight for the Ligue 1 title sitting 11 points off league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Club president Pablo Longoria likes the defender’s profile and is eager to strengthen his side’s defence at a lower cost, having already made a first enquiry for De Vrij’s availability. The 30-year-old could realistically be lured to the south of France following five seasons in Lombardy.
Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are few of the other clubs interested in De Vrij.
