Marseille Lead Napoli and Barcelona for Ounahi Signature

Morocco breakout star Azzedine Ounahi is on the sights of several top clubs following a sensational World Cup campaign for his nation, helping them finish fourth against all odds. The Angers midfielder is garnering interest from across Europe, especially with Olympique de Marseille and FC Barcelona showing interest to sign him.

There is also lingering interest from Serie A leaers Napoli, as per RMC Sport (via TuttoNapoli). However, it is understood that the Marseille are leading the transfer race for the 22-year-old Moroccan midfielder, who has a transfermarkt value of €15M. The French outfit are prepared to offer their Ligue 1 counterparts a transfer fee in the region of €20-25M in order to shoo away other suitors for Ounahi, including Inter.

Napoli are seeking reinforcements in midfield after links of Diego Demme’s potential departure surfaced earlier in the month. The Partenopei have also targeted another name from Morocco, Walid Cheddira from Serie B side Bari.

Ounahi shone for Morocco this World Cup, putting up aggressive box-to-box midfield displays against the likes of Spain and Portugal in the knockout phases.
