Former Inter president Massimo Moratti has said that he had doubts regarding the appointment of Simone Inzaghi.
The 45-year-old joined the Nerazzurri this summer, replacing the departing Antonio Conte. So far, Inzaghi has fared pretty well with Inter as they are currently second in the Serie A table and are already through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
Moratti said that he had his reservations about the former Lazio boss and praised him for his work so far. As quoted by FCInter1908, the 76-year-old said: “I’m not surprised, he’s good. At the beginning I had doubts, now he has been consistently proving himself. He’s doing a great job and I’m very happy.”
Inzaghi is a pretty good manager and he has proven this over the past few years. He has done a very good job with Inter so far. The Nerazzurri are currently just one point behind Milan and they have a very strong chance of defending their Serie A title.
After their match against Real Madrid, Inter take on Cagliari.
